How does the Scrabble word finder work?

Enter up to 7 rack tiles and optionally add blank (wildcard) tiles. The tool checks every word in the dictionary to find those you can form from your tiles, then sorts them by Scrabble score.

How are blank tiles scored?

Blank tiles act as wildcards and can represent any letter, but they score 0 points. The finder accounts for this when calculating word scores.

Can I find words that fit a spot on the board?

Yes. Add a board pattern using letters for tiles already on the board and an underscore for each empty square (for example, _A_E). The finder returns only words that fit the pattern, where the open squares can be covered by your rack tiles and blanks. Board tiles are treated as already placed, so they do not use up your rack.

What is a bingo and how is the bonus scored?

A bingo is a play that uses all seven of your rack tiles in a single turn, which earns a 50-point bonus in Scrabble. The finder flags these words and adds the +50 bonus to their score so you can spot your best plays.

Are the words valid for official Scrabble play?

All words come from a curated dictionary of valid English words. While word legality can vary between Scrabble dictionaries (TWL vs SOWPODS), the vast majority are accepted in competitive play.
