We Counted: How Often Does Wordle Repeat a Letter?
Roughly one Wordle answer in three repeats a letter, far more than players expect. We counted them all, and found which letters double up most.
Ask a Wordle player how often the answer repeats a letter and most will guess “rarely, maybe one in ten.” They are badly wrong, and that misjudgement loses games. So we counted every answer.

About 31.7% of answers contain a repeated letter, roughly one in three. That is not a rare edge case. It is something you will meet every few puzzles. And it is the classic trap: once a letter turns green or yellow, players assume it appears only once and stop testing it, eliminating the very word they are hunting.
